The enormous success that the Campaign for Free College Tuition has enjoyed in its first year of existence would not have been possible without the wise counsel and sound social media strategies that Veracity Media has provided us. We consider them to be an integral and indispensable part of our leadership team and the best possible partner any cause oriented organization could have.

The Campaign For Free College Tuition and Veracity Media
The Campaign for Free College Tuition (CFCT) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established to educate parents, students, the higher education community, policy makers, and taxpayers about efforts needed to fundamentally reform our nation’s system for financing higher education. CFCT believes free college tuition is a goal that is supported by people of all political persuasions and is proud to have both major parties represented in their leadership. CFCT’s programming focuses on organizing its growing supporter base comprised of policy leaders, elected officials, educators, and online fans to advocate for the expansion of Promise Programs across the country and the cause of free college tuition generally.
What did we accomplish?
In June of 2014, Redeeming America’s Promise officially launched its campaign for free college tuition. The launch included new branding, a fully custom NationBuilder website, an event at the National Press Club headlined by former governors and members of congress, and a social media and networking campaign that activated millennial organizations including Our Time, Young Invincibles, YP4, Common Sense Action and others. Veracity Media helped White House veteran and author Morley Winograd and a team of higher education experts launch and build what came to be called the Campaign for Free College Tuition, a national initiative in support of free college tuition policies.
Through the end of 2014, Veracity Media worked closely with the CFCT’s leadership to create a new website in line with the organization’s new name, blog posts and diverse social media content that all reflected the most engaging and persuasive arguments for a bipartisan, economically sound, and feasible free college plan for all Americans.
When former President Obama announced his plan for two years of free college tuition on January 8, 2015, the Campaign for Free College Tuition was ready. Veracity Media was able to capitalize on the outsized attention surrounding the issue to propel CFCT’s brand and message across social media and garner thousands of engagements and notable shout outs from players like Rock The Vote, Sandra Fluke, and Our Time.
CFCT is changing how people view college affordability in this country. Both online and off, the organization’s program focuses on highlighting real world examples from places where college tuition is already free and benefiting students. The impact is clear, as more and more people around the country learn about free college and see it as a real possibility. From being considered a somewhat offbeat idea in June of 2014, the notion of free college tuition has become a part of the national agenda and political debate.
